Hello again everyone:)
I have to say out of all the
weekly exercises we do I love the loving kindness exercises. I feel that the
people around me including my self really do benefit from these exercises. My
boyfriend recently was hospitalized and has been really sick and not feeling
well so I did this exercise with him. I love doing these exercises because I helps
me to strengthen my healing skills. My boyfriend still has some medical issues
but as a whole his feels better about his recovery and now has a positive
mindset. I think that is the differences in recovery you must have a positive
mindset to begin the process of healing.
The assessment process I
have to do twice the first time I did it I seemed to go more towards mediation.
But once I re did this exercise I was able to focus a lot more. The area I
choose to focus more is the biological and worldly aspect. I choose biological because I feel like
out of all the quadrants I sometimes lack on this area. I would like to work on
my diet. I do not eat horrible but I now I can do a lot better with my diet
choices. The second aspect I choose to improve on was worldly. Now usually I do
not have a problem in this area but with everything going on in my life this
sometimes takes a back seat. I not that I have to be an active member of my community
I think its super important to do so. So this week I made it my mission to make
better diet choices and do a least one volunteer act.
The week I made much better
diet choices by watching my sugar. I have a problem in eating way to much
sugar. I picked foods that are low in carbs and sugars. I also gave blood to
the American Red Cross and I volunteered at a soup kitchen though my church.
This week was a great week for me.
Leena,
ReplyDeleteSounds like you did have a good week! I also have a hard time with sugar and I found that I have to give myself a treat once in a while so I do not go crazy! I think that it is awesome that you were able to bring your boyfriend in to the exercise and shift his thoughts for the positive to help his healing process. I also would like to start volunteering. I think that I would really enjoy it but I feel that school is taking up a lot of time. I am excited to graduate so I can shift my focus to other things! Enjoyed your post Leena!

Good For you Leena! I think its great that you are trying to cut down on your sugar. I have a sweet tooth myself, and used to have something chocolate everyday after lunch, but now only have it on occasion. And I absolutely think your choices of donating blood and working at the soup kitchen are wonderful......paying it forward : )
